Governance

Our role and responsibility throughout the value chain

Governance

At Spaas, we recognize our role and responsibility in terms of sustainability throughout our value chain. From the wick to the wax, every component is important. We seek partners who share our vision of sustainability, ethical practices and care for the environment, and we re-evaluate our partnerships when necessary. This proactive approach helps us to limit potential risks within our supply chain and ensures that we comply with international regulations.

Partnerships with our suppliers

If we want to make an impact on our CO2 emissions, want to choose sustainable packaging and want to switch to renewable materials, it is also very important that we have good partners in this area. We strive to carefully select each supplier we work with and choose suppliers who help reduce CO2 emissions in order to maintain the necessary quality.

Sustainability as a strategic objective forces us to challenge our suppliers more and more in this area.

Within our organization, a code of conduct has been drawn up for our suppliers to ensure that they comply with our standards. Every year, we survey our suppliers on the basis of risks in terms of purchasing, quality and sustainability. Based on the score they achieve, we enter into discussions with them to take the sustainability transition even further together.

In this way, we continue to challenge ourselves and our partners to go one step further, and together we can provide innovative solutions to the various challenges we face.

  • RSPO logo
    RSPO certified

When we use palm oil in our candles, it is 100% RSPO certified, which means that it has been grown in a responsible manner. To combat the negative effects (deforestation, etc.), Spaas has joined the RSPO.
